Hey, neighbors, Kevin here at etrailer. And today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CURT custom fifth wheel installation kit here on our 2017 Toyota Tundra. Now Tundras typically aren't gonna be our recommended choice when it comes to tilling the fifth wheel trailer just because their capacities typically are a bit lacking compared to some other options out on the market. But that being said, you still can do it as long as you're making sure that your trailer is within that capacity of your truck. And if that is the case, then, typically, you're probably gonna have a short bed. So you're gonna want to switch over to some base rails so that way you can use a rotating pin box to gain a little bit of extra turning clearance so that the nose of your trailer doesn't end up contacting the cab of the truck. more

Adding rails to the bed of your truck means that you're gonna be able to drop in whatever fifth wheel you have because it follows an ISR standard, which is just industry standard, meaning that no matter the brand, whether it be CURT or Reese, B&W, whatever it may be, if you have just kind of that standard fifth wheel with the drop-in pins, this is gonna line up to it, allowing you to be able to hook up and tow that fifth wheel down the road. The rails are our carbide black powder-coat finish. And they look really nice, and it also holds up to scratches and chips long term. Once installed, this is gonna be kind of a permanent installation. You do have to drill holes to get this mounted up to the custom brackets that attach to the frame, allowing you for it to be structurally sound enough to be able to tow quite a bit of weight down the road. more

So again, no prep package installed for this to fit. Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer, and today I'm with Nick, the hitch guy from PullRite and today we're taking a look at your rail kit for a lot of different trucks out there. And rail kits are great for someone that wants to add a 5th wheel into their truck, uses factory spots and normally they're not too bad to get installed or so you think until it's time to torque down hardware. And you guys have solved the problem. So what do you guys offer and what makes it different Yeah, so all of our rail kits, we're still using preexisting holes so we're not drilling into the frame of the truck, but where our products or these rail kits really shine would be when you're going to torque everything down. The hardest part of torquing a rail system down is torquing the rail to the bed of the truck because that torquing needs to happen underneath the truck bed in an area that's really small and restrictive to get your tools, a lot of times you end up having to use a crow's foot. So what we've added are these nut tabs onto the bracket and we ship these with serrated flange nuts. more

B & W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation Guide - 2024 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
Ian with etrailer here, and today we're gonna be installing the B&W underbed gooseneck hitch on our 2024 GMC Sierra. Let's go over a few features of it and then we'll take care of the install. Your benefit of this underbed hitch is that if you we inchesre to remove this ball, you can use the B&W Companion, that's just gonna be a drop in fifth wheel option, to be able to switch between if you have a couple of trailers. So the GMC Sierra is already known as a very capable vehicle, and we see it very commonly used for smaller towing capabilities. But to be able to branch out beyond that, I definitely would turn towards B&W for either a fifth wheel or gooseneck. And we're gonna be installing this drop-in gooseneck here. more

Installing the B&W Custom Installation Kit with Base Rails in a 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video
It's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at installing the B&W base rails with custom installation kit on a 2020 Ford F-250. If you're looking to put a fifth wheel in your F-250, B&W is the base rail kit that I would choose to put my own F-250. And the reason being is B&W's kits are very well made, all of the hardware is great, and so are the instructions. And not to say that other brands aren't as good as B&W, I just learned that the consistency of quality really shines through with B&W. And really at the end of the day, you're just trying to get base rails onto your truck to allow you to get a fifth wheel in place, and they all follow an ISR standard, which basically means whatever brand fifth wheel you have, you'll see that there's quite a bit of spots for adjustment to be able to account for a good majority of 'em. more
