Review of SportRack Hitch Bike Racks Parts - SportRack Escape - 05002100000

Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement cradle with anti-sway attachment for the SportRack escape hitch mounted bike racks. Now the SportRack escape is a very basic but very reliable bike rack that's out there. This is going to be for that anti-sway cradle, so this down portion would fit onto the tube of your bike and provide that anti-sway motion or basically it keeps your bikes from hitting each other or your vehicle. It keeps them from moving backwards and forwards. So this lines up to the down tube of your bike and helps to keep it a little bit more stable. more

Review of SportRack Replacement Parts - Roof Box Latch Clamp - 03347

Today we'll be taking a quick look at the replacement latch for SportRider Explorer Cargo Box. Now, this can also fit a couple different cargo box styles including the Karrite Cargo Carrier #7251, and the Sears X Cargo Box, but we've also had customers tell us that this fits some of the other boxes out there, from either the early aughts or 90's, so it seems to be a pretty universal size. It's just a plastic latch that's going to replace a broken or missing one on your cargo box, help to keep all your items inside, keep the rain and dust out of your box as much as possible. So, I'm going to go over some measurements with you, just so can get an idea of how big this is, to see if it will fit your box, even if it's not one of those other names we have listed here. So, as far as the total length of this portion of the handle, it's about four inches long. We look at just the total length there. The opening on that top hook is.. let me figure out a away that you can actually see this while I measure it. more

SportRack Hitch Mounted Cargo Carriers Cargo Bag Review- Video

SportRack Hitch Mounted Cargo Carriers Cargo Bag Review

Ellen: Hey there, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be looking at the SportRack cargo bag.Now this is going to be a great addition to our cargo carrier, which we're using to haul extra stuff. We've got our car all loaded up with all our passengers and pets, but we don't have any room for our luggage. It's going to go outside on our cargo carrier, but that leaves all our stuff exposed to the elements. The cargo bag from the SportRack is going to protect all those things, keep them from getting messed up by any road grime, salt, dirt and other things like that. Now this isn't going to be waterproof, but it is water resistant, so if you had run into a light shower here or there you'll probably be fine. Any really delicate items or things that you don't really want to get wet, you'll probably want to wrap those in a plastic bag inside your cargo bag.A unique thing to the SportRack cargo bag are the pockets on each side, so this is going to give us access to smaller items and also keep the messy items contained. more

Today on our 2015 Buick Enclave, we'll be taking a look at the SportRack Ridge five bike hanging style rack, part number SR2405. As you can see we already have a bike mounted up on our rack and our rack mounted on our Enclave. We'll start by taking the bike off and showing you how it attaches to our ridge. We have three straps, two up at the top and they're pretty simple, just pull them off. If you're going to do this, just line up the holes, now there. Our third strap will be on the down tube of the bike, and that's our anti-sway strap which keeps it from moving back and forth and maybe knocking into our other bikes or into the back of our vehicle. Now that we have those undone, we'll go ahead and slide our bike off. It's always a good idea to reattach your straps so that you don't lose them as you're going down the road or putting your rack into storage or whatever you may be doing with it while it's not in use. more

There will be three straps: two on the top tube and then one on the bottom tube here. That'll be your anti-sway strap. So I'll take these two off. SportRack Watersport Carriers Review - 2015 Dodge Durango

Today, on our 2015 Dodge Durango, we're going to be doing a test fit of the sport rack kayak carrier for the roof of your vehicle. It's going to be the j-hook style design, and it's going to come with all the provided hardware to strap down your kayak, as well as it'll have your balance stern lines. It's going to be part number SR5511. First off, let's go ahead and undo our balance stern lines, that way you can kind of see where they go and how they function. Of course, you're going to be able to tie them down however you see fit, but this'll give you a good idea of how to do so. We just have it hooked to the receiver hitch, but you can also hook it to the spare tire underneath the backside or any other fixed mounting point. Moving to the front, the bumper and fenders are going to be mostly plastic, and you're going to have this big fascia down here, so you're not going to really have a point to fix and mount it down below - or off the front of the vehicle. We decided to do it inside the engine compartment. If you choose to do it this way, we'll show you the spot where you can do so. Down here on the side, you're going to have a hole - right on the inside of the fender. You can place your strap in there and your hook just like so, securing it down and coming back underneath to the hood. more
