Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar Review

Today we'll be having a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar, part number RM-676. What sets this tow bar apart from others on the market is it's the industry's first that has integrated lights built into it. Now our integrated LED light strip produces 300 lumens of an amber light, which will help motorists be aware that you are flat towing a vehicle at night. They will see the illuminated gap in between your flat towed vehicle and your RV and not attempt to get in between the two. Now the Nighthawk also has the industry's longest arms on any tow bar ever produced, helping increase stability by increasing the distance between our towed vehicle and our motor home, also making tight turns easier. Additionally, our longer arms also make it easier for us to hook up to our towed vehicle. We don't have to worry about lining up perfectly every time we hook up. more

Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar Installation - 2019 Chevrolet Colorado

Today on our 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, we will be taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar as part of a complete flat tow setup. We will also be using Roadmaster's EZ5 baseplate kit, Roadmaster's universal high powered inaudible 00:00:17 wiring kit, Roadmaster's battery disconnect kit, and SMI's air force one supplemental braking system, since our RV has air brakes. This tow bar is going to allow you to connect your vehicle to your motor home, so you can pull it behind you.And adding a feature to our Nighthawk here, there are lights that run down each arm when you've got it hooked up to your motor home with the lights on. This will add some extra visibility so people can see where you are when you're heading down the road at night. Each arm on this is going to be non-binding. And what that means is that it has a lever that will allow the tension to be released on the arm here. So if you're parked on uneven terrain, it'll make it easier to disconnect your tow bar from your vehicle.Included with your tow bar, you're going to have your coiled seven to six pole wiring, as well as your safety cables. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to set up the Roadmaster Nighthawk non-binding LED tow bar. I like this tow bar for many reasons, one of them being is how lightweight it's going to be. It's going to be so light because it's built from an aluminum construction, so that's going to make it easier to use.Another reason I really like it is it has this LED lighting. That's going to make it easy to see at nighttime and let people know that we are connected from our motorhome to our vehicle when we're going down the road. As you can see, even on a very bright and sunny day these LEDs are really going to shine.Another cool feature I really like about the tow bar is that on each side it's going to have this channel built in, and that's going to house not only our electrical cable, but our safety cable as well. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Nighthawk all terrain non-binding tow bar with LED lights, part number RM-676.Here's what our Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar looks like. Now, the first thing you're gonna notice that's gonna set it apart from other ones, is the integrated LED lights that are built into the arms. Now, this is not only gonna illuminate it, making it easier for us to see what we're doing if it is dark, but it's also gonna let people know that you are flat towing a vehicle, illuminating the area between your vehicle and the motor home. Now, it's still gonna serve the same purpose as all the other tow bars. It's gonna allow us to hook up our motor home and safely and securely pull our truck down the road. The tow bar is gonna slide directly into the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening on our motor home, so we're not gonna have to worry about having a ball mount or any other accessory to hook it up.Now, on the vehicle side, our tow bar is gonna work with the MX, MS, and EZ5 base plates, and it's gonna come with the necessary pins and clips to get everything attached. The telescoping arms are gonna make it a lot easier to hook up, giving us a large hookup radius so we don't have to be directly behind the motor home.If you've ever flat towed a vehicle before, you'll know that if you're not perfectly behind the motor home or on perfectly level ground, the tow bar can get into a bind, making it a lot harder to unhook. Well, our tow bar here has a non-binding design, so we just simply pull on this lever if it was in a bind, and release a lot of that tension, making it a lot easier to unhook. Now, the tar bar itself is an aluminum construction with a black powder coat finish that not only is gonna look nice, but it's gonna give us a long-lasting durability. more

Here's what our Nighthawk looks like connecting our RV to our Terrain. A nice feature of the Nighthawk is it does include an integrated electrical cable that's going to go through the channel nicely and protect it. As well as two safety cables to connect your car and your RV.Now, Roadmaster is the first one to come out with an integrated LED light strip on either side of their tow bar, illuminating the area in between your towed vehicle and your RV. Our arms here are going to telescope out, locking into a rigid position, giving us a nice, sturdy platform to tow our Terrain. Now, if we've ever flat towed a vehicle before, I know that we've ran into a situation where the tow bar will get into a bind and it makes it extremely difficult to get it out. Now, that's what I really like about the Nighthawk here is that these levers on either side of our arm, it's going to take away some of that tension. more
