Today on our 2014 Ford Edge, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the CURT trailer hitch receiver for the class three hitch, part number C13067. This is what the CURT hitch looks like once it's installed on the vehicle. On this Ford Edge Sport, you can see that it's nicely tucked up underneath and very well hidden. All you can see is the receiver tube here, along with the round steel looped safety chain hoops. This hitch is a fairly easy installation. It bolts into place with minimal drilling required. more

From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground, we have about 13 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper, we have approximately 5 inches. The biggest difference that you're going to see between these two hitches is on the Draw-Tite the crosstube here is going to be completely tucked behind the fascia because this receiver tube is welded to the bottom of that, where on both CURT's it's welded in-line with that crosstube so you are going to be able to see some of that crosstube from underneath the rear fascia. On this Draw-Tite it's going to have two pinholes. It's got the standard 5/8" hitch pinhole that's going to be used to secure all the class three accessories. It also has the smaller 1/2" hole which is going to be good for use with a j-pin stabilization system, which helps to eliminate so that shake and play in the shank to help provide a nice quiet, secure ride for your accessories. The class three CURT has this nice large reinforcement plate that's welded onto the top of the crosstube and the top of the receiver tube opening, which helps give it extra stability and durability. Also, when looking at the hitch on the vehicle, that helps give it a little bit cleaner look as well. more

Speaker 1: Today in this 2015 Lincoln MKX we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number C13067.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. First thing you'll notice about this hitch is that we do have plenty of clearance around our receiver. This makes this a great hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers, which is what many of our customers are using this hitch for. Now when comparing this to other options out there, this hitch is a little bit more visible in the center section here, but this is tucked nicely up against the rear fascia, so it does maintain a nice clean look.Inside of our receiver, you'll find our industry standard 5/8 of an inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure your hitch mount and accessories. You can pick up a pin and clip separately on our website. Welded on the bottom of our receiver, our rolled steel safety chain loops. more

Today in our 2014 Lincoln MKX, we'll be installing the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C13067. Here's what a hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it's a very factory-like appearance. It's tucked up nicely behind a rear bumper cover here. The only part really hanging down is the class III receiver here and a little bit of the rectangular frame of the hitch, has a nice high-gloss black powdercoat finish, so it's very durable. This hitch has a 4,000 pound gross trailer weight rating and a 400 pound tongue weight rating. It does not support weight-distribution. We have these nice, round, tubular constructed safety-chain hooks that will be able to fit the smallest diameter of safety chains onto without a problem. more

Today on this 2013 Lincoln MKX, we're going to show you the Curt class 3 two inch receiver hitch, part number C13067. This is what the hitch looks like once installed in the vehicle. At first glance you can see the receiver opening right here, and you can see the body of the hitch. It does sit below the bumper, but it quickly goes back up and underneath the bumper and up into the frame. If we take a closer look at the opening here, this is our two inch receiver, it has a nice rounded collar all the way around it, kind of a uniform finish on the front and the back. If you take a look on the back it has a loop on the bottom for your safety chains. more

Today on our 2009 Lincoln MKX, we'll be having a look at and installing at the Curt Trailer Receiver, Class III, 2-inch Hitch, part number C13067. Now that we have our hitch completely installed, you can see it has a nice clean look here. There's a very minimal amount added to the vehicle showing down below. Most of it is hidden up underneath where you can't see it. We have a standard 2-inch receiver opening here with a 5/7-inch diameter pinhole to secure your draw bar for towing a trailer, your bike rack, your hitch cargo rack, things of that nature. We have these nice welded loops on the side of it to secure the safety chains on your trailer. We have a 4,000-pound gross trailer weight rating on it with a 400-pound max tongue weight rating. Again, you want to consult with the owner's manual of your vehicle to see whichever is less and go by that. Now, to give you a few measurements to help with choosing any accessories to go with your hitch, we have about 14-1/2 inches from the ground to the top edge of the inside of the receiver tube. more
