Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima BaseLine FX roof rack system for naked roofs. This is gonna be designed to work with roof that doesn't have any pre-existing rails or crossbars, so a naked roof. Now this one is going to have a variety of different fits and kits available for it, so be sure to plug your vehicle information into our fit guide and find the right kit for you. Between all of those different kits though, they're gonna share a lot of the same features and install in a very similar way, so let's check 'em out. So the BaseLine FX system is designed for roofs that have no existing rails or crossbars, and no existing dedicated mounting points like threaded holes underneath this piece here. more

Hi, everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima BaseClip Fit Kit for your Yakima BaseLine FX Roof Rack Kits. Now, this is gonna be the rubber pad and the clamps that actually hold the whole roof rack system in place and make it a custom fit for your various different vehicles. Now, that being said, there's tons of different kits out there on our website for different vehicles, all of those pads are gonna be molded somewhat differently to adapt to different roof shapes, so do plug in your vehicle information into our fit guide and find the right fit kit for you and your vehicle, but it's gonna be a look at the overall system, how it works, and how it functions with the roof rack. So the main two parts of this are gonna be the rubber pad and the clamp, but let's talk about that rubber pad first. It's gonna be custom molded to your vehicle, so you can see really well right here on this lip, it forms around that ridge on the roof and fits snugly into place there to make sure that nothing is moving around and it's fit custom to that area. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, we're gonna be test-fitting the Yakima round bar roof rack system, consisting of part number Y00409, these are the 58-inch round cross bars, part number Y00146, these are the baseline towers for the Yakima cross bars, particularly for naked roofs, part number Y03536, and this is the round bar SL adapter for the Yakima base line, and finally part number Y06123 and this is gonna be the base clip fit kit for the Malibu.The rider rack round bar roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your Malibu. It can carry anything from bike racks to cargo baskets to cargo boxes. While the round bars are both durable and strong, they are gonna make noise while you drive, so you might have to purchase aftermarket bearings to cut down that wind noise and drag, which you can find on etrailer.com.These are very easy to install. They simply clamp around your existing doorframe and tighten down into place. Everything is provided to tighten this down to your vehicle as well. And at the ends of our end caps, we do have plastic knockouts, which you can remove and replace with Yakima same key system which is sold separately. more

DIY Install: Yakima RidgeLine Roof Rack for Flush Rails on your 2016 Dodge Dart- Video
Today on our 2016 Dodge Dart we'll be taking a look at the Yakima Roof Rack Kit. This consists of the Yakima JetStream Crossbars, part number Y00425, the BaseLine Towers, part number Y00146, and two sets of base clip fit kits, first one is part number Y06118 for the front, and part number Y06123 for the back. The Yakima Rook Rack Kit will allow you to carry many different vehicle accessories on your vehicle's roof rack system, whether that's bike racks, cargo boxes, cargo baskets, or ski and snowboard carriers. The JetStream Crossbars are an aerodynamic design which will reduce wind noise and drag and allow you to carry vehicle accessories, whether they're clamp-on or channel mounted accessories. The whole kit has a quick and easy installation, we'll show you how to do that next. Now everything that you see here on our table is included with our kit, the only thing you'll need to provide yourself is a flat tape measure of some sort. Best 2017 Ford Focus Roof Rack Options- Video
Today on our 2017 Ford Focus, we're going to take a look at the best roof rack options available. Now when searching for roof rack systems, these are going to be the top three choices from each of these different manufacturers. Up at the top we have our Rhino-Rack RS series roof rack system. Here we have our Inno square bar roof rack system, and at the bottom we have our Yakima JetStream bar roof rack system. Now each of these three roof rack systems has their advantages, but let's go ahead and take a look at the differences between these roof racks. Now the most obvious difference between these three racks is going to be with our middle rack, the Inno, which has a square bar as opposed to the aero bars or vortex aero bars of the Rhino-Rack or the Yakima. Now while the square bar isn't going to necessarily cut down wind noise and drag, you can purchase separately fairings that will do that for this system. With both of our aero bars, the Rhino-Rack and the Yakima, we do have this rubber strip on the tops of both of them. more

It has a weight capacity of 165 pounds with both bars, although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand that weight. If we move our end cap you can see it has a rubber strip along the center here and that coupled the aerodynamic shape of the bars will cut down wind noise and drag while you're driving. more

The two bars have a combined carrying capacity of 220 pounds, although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand that weight. If you wanna carry around fun accessories like kayaks or a roof box or roof basket, or even a roof-mounted bike rack, you first need a roof rack. So this is gonna be a custom-fit roof rack for your Nissan Rogue Sport. Compared to the other brands, this is more custom-fit because there's a lot of tilting involved so you have a level surface that's further apart, good for those longer items like kayaks and roof boxes. Some important numbers for you to know is that this has a really long crossbar spread. So from one crossbar to another, that's gonna be 32 inches apart. more

Now, this Yakima system is unique in that it does have a little bit more of an involved process. Today on our 2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI, we're going to be test-fitting the Yakima Roof Rack. It's going to include the jet stream, 50" crossbars, part #Y00425. The baseline towers, part #Y00146 The baseline clips for the front, part #Y06123. The clips for the rear, part #Y06125. To start our installation, we're going to take the end cap off of our bar. We already removed this rubber strip, the filler strip, on the bottom side. We're going to take our tower, we're going to slide in to the bottom of our rail, we're going to slide it in. more
