In-Depth Review of the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller- Video
Today, we're going to be taking a look at Tekonsha's Voyager proportional brake controller. This is an entry level proportional brake controller designed to work with electric brakes. It is not designed however, to work with electric over hydraulic brakes. If you are wanting to use that on your trailer, then I would highly recommend Tekonsha's Prodigy P2 or P3 models. But with this base model here, if you've got just standard old electric brakes, like I've got on my trailers, then this is a great option because it is proportional, which means that the harder you are breaking the harder this is going to break your trailer behind you and vice versa if you're breaking softly, just kind of creeping up to a stop sign. This will match that as well, because it can detect that inertia. more
Draw-Tite Brake Controller 20127 Review- Video
Today we're going to review part #20127. This is the draw-type replacement brake controller plug-in wiring harness for the Tekonsha and draw-type brake controllers. Now this is a replacement plug-in harness designed to fit the Tekonsha P3, the Voyager, the Prodigy, the Primus brake controllers. Also works with many of the draw-type brake controllers also. Total length on this wire, just to give you an idea here, just stretch it out, you can see it's right at about 12 inches approximate total length on it. Just to show you what this is used for, I happen to have here a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller that we do sell separately on our website. Basically what you would do is take the end with the plug into it, you'll see it'll match the back of the brake controller, just push it in, that locks into place. more

Part number on it is 39510. The Voyager's a nice, simple, easy-to-use brake controller. Basically, what we've got is power settings on the right side of the controller, so for smaller trailers, or when our trailers are unloaded, we'll turn that sensitivity down to where we just barely have any change at all in the color of our light. As our trailer gets heavier, we have a need for extra braking power, we just rotate that dial away from us, and that will increase it, as you can see. more

If we're in the everyday traffic to where we're just placing our foot on there just to slow down a little bit, the Voyager realizes that, and it'll slow it down gradually.
