Review of the Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks on a 2015 Hyundai Accent

Today on our 2015 Hyundai Accent, we're doing a test fit of the Yakima Full Tilt Four Bike Rack hanging style. That part number is Y02462. I have a bike on our rack and we have the rack hooked up to the vehicle. This is a four bike rack, but we're going to just show you how the bike is set up on here. We have total of three zip straps. They have two up to and the one to the side is our anti sway strap.

We're going to go ahead and pull these off. We have the two levers here, just want to push them in, pull up. Same thing. If you we're loading your bike up, you just do the opposite way. You do the one in the side, the anti sway strap first, then the other two on the top. Take our bike off, set it to the side, then we're going to replace our zip straps. Now we can take a few measurements just to show you overall distance we've added to our vehicle.

From the bumper out to our cradle arms, I'm looking at 38 inches. Our closest point, that would be 5 inches there and for our ground clearance, I'm looking right there, and I'm looking at 8 and a half inches. Now we're going to show you how the cradle arms do come down. By pulling up on the red lever here, we can actually bring our arms down. Once again, we're going to take one more measurement. Overall distance now is only 12 inches.

Also, this has a tilting feature, so if you grab the black lever here, pull down, let it come all the way down. It actually sets down. If you need to get inside your trunk, you see you have plenty of room to put anything in or take anything out, on both sides. We're going to bring this back up into the upright position. Down here, like I say, we're using a one and a quarter hitch. This is also adaptable for two inch hitches also.

It has a built in pinning clip, so you don't have to purchase that. Plus, it also has back here, the red knob here, is also your anti rattle device, so make sure it's nice and tight so it takes out that play in the shank, and you have a smooth ride in your vehicle and outside you vehicle. That's going to be it for the Yakima Full Tilt Four Bike Rack hanging style, and that part number again is Y02462 on today's 2015 Hyundai Accent. Let's see how it performs on our test course. Here it is on our test course. First is the slalom area, which simulates side to side action, like turning the corners or evasive maneuvers. Next are the alternate speed bumps, which show you the twisting action, like hitting a pothole, road debris, or hitting a curb. Finally we're at the solid speed bumps, which show you up and down action to simulate a parking garage or coming out your driveway.
