Male Speaker: Today on our 2014 Ford Fiesta, we're doing a test fit of the Yakima FatCat 6 Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier. That part number is Y03088. We already have the first half on. We're going to show you how easy it is to install the second half. Make sure I have everything right. Pretty much, we're just going to put our straps in a little grove here it fits into. They go up under our crossbars.
What we need to do is start to tighten it up. There's a little red knob in here. Do a little tightening there. We need to open this up, and there is a little black lever, what you call a cam lever. The cam lever right there actually is controlling the little gray lever, so we want to make sure this is nice and tight, so when we clamp this down, we'll be all good.
Turn this up some more. Actually I can go some more. Got it nice and tight. We're going to tighten this up inside here. Then clamp down. Now we go to the other side.
With these snow carriers, they can hold up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards. Let's get that down. Go ahead and start tightening it up again. Then we tighten up inside here. Now we're ready to load our boards up. All we do is to open up, push in the button, lift up.
I'm going to load 2 snowboards. I have them back to back. I push them in as far as I can. I'm going to load 1 pair of skis, like so. Just bring it down. You need to bring it down and hear three clicks, or just bring them down until they engage. You see that we have our optional lock on there, so you can have a key, turn it, and it'll be your anti-theft system. That's it for a look on the Yakima FatCat 6 Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier. That part number again is Y03088 on today's 2014 Ford Fiesta. Here it is on our test course. First is the slalom area, which simulates side to side action like turning corners or evasive maneuvers. Next are the alternate speed bumps, which show you the twisting action like hitting a pothole, road debris, or hitting a curb. Finally, we've got the solid speed bumps, which show the up and down action to simulate a parking garage or coming out of your driveway.
