Review of the TryRyde Tang Type Replacement Spindle Washer

Today, we're going to show you a replacement tang type spindle washer from True Ride, part number 5-101. This is our tang washer, right here. You can see it's flat. It's got thickness of a 1/32 of an inch and here's our 2 tabs right here, for tangs. What happens is, when you install this, you bend 1 of these tangs up into a slot for your casting nuts, that's what holds your cast nut in place and keeps it from backing off.

It's pretty simple to install, let's go ahead and do it right now. A couple stipulations . Your spindle will have to be a D type spindle, also this is only going to work with a 1 inch spindle. To install it, the flat spot on the spindle, goes where the tangs are, you slide it in place. I'll install the casting nut and we'll go ahead and tighten it down. We'll run our casting nut on until it stops, then you can back it off just a little bit. Then we'll select 1 of the tangs to bend down. We'll use a flatblade screwdriver to bend down the tab over the tangs that fits in the notch, here, on the casting nut.

Get it started, then push down on it and you see, our casting nut is locked into place. It still has movement, like it should, and you're good to go. And that will finish it for the tang type replacement spindle washer from True Ride, part number 5-101.
