Review of the Thule Trunk Bike Racks on a 2016 Ford Expedition
Today at our 2016 Ford Expedition we're doing a test fit of the Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount, part number TH911XT. Now, I have a bike on a rack and we a have rack onto our vehicle. I'll like to just show you a few features. How our bike is connected to our bike rack itself we have a total of three straps. You have two up top and then one on the side which we call anti-sway strap. Let's go ahead and take the two up top first then we got to remove our anti-sway strap. Now we can take off our bike.
I'm going to set it off to the side. Is always a good idea to go ahead and replace your straps so you don't lose them or damage them. That will be the first thing we do first. Now, I'm going to take one measurement just to show you overall distance we added to our vehicle. We've added 26 inches to our vehicle. The corridor arms do adjust to fold in, so how we want to do that, we have two silver buttons here.
Just push in. Rotate around. Same thing here. We're going to take one more measurement. Now, we're looking at approximately 11 inches. How the bike rack is connected to our vehicle, we have a total of six straps.
Each strap has a hook with a rubber coding on it so it won't damage your vehicle. You have the two up top. Two to the side and two below our hatch itself. Now, the cam lever here is for tightening this individual one, also that one. This cam lever here will actually tighten up the one to the side and the one underneath.
Also we have our two pads that's going to protect the window up front and we have two below next to our bumper. You can't use your rare wiper when you have this engaged on your car. Now, the inaudible 00:02:08 guide for the 2016 Ford Expedition is 11. The numbers are kind of small but they're right in here. You just make sure you go to 11 it's per your instructions. That's going to complete our look at the Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount on today's 2016 Ford Expedition.
