Today on our 2013 Ford Focus, we're doing a test fit on the Thule Thruride Roof Bike Rack. Part number is TH535. We have a bike on our rack already. I'd like to show you a few features of it. Like I said, this is a Ford mounted bike rack. We have our skewer here, it has that fork nice and secure. We go to the back, we have out little wheel cradle here, with our strapper mounted to protect our spokes and tires.
So I'm going to remove that. To disengage your skewer up here, just pull down, may want to have to loosen it here a little bit, just to get it off. Alright, now we can take our bike off. Let's put this to the side. Now if you have any straps on your bike rack it's always a good idea to just go ahead and put them back, so they don't get damaged or lost. We're going to do that first. Now we have our universal holders that come around our crossbars.
How we engage those- we lift up our lid here, and side here, it has a little grey lever to actually loosen and tighten these. Sorry that's the wrong one. Have the lever here that actually tightens and loosens our bar. Actually flip these over, and use them for- say you had square crossbars, or smaller, round crossbars, you can actually flip these over, and it will fit that way. It's a universal mount clamps. Close this up.
One thing I tell every time we talk about this- the skewer is held in between here. So we want to tighten it up, we do it that way, or if you want to listen we just bring it back, and it still engages. We always keep it kind of tight. All right. Now to our back. All we have is our thumb screws.
We have a nice little plate on here, it holds under our crossbars. All we do is make sure they're nice and tight. And they're all nice and tight, right here. Right here we have our adjustable wheel cradle, actually goes back and forth. IT can fit any type of bike that you have on your bike rack. So, that's it for our look for the Thule Thruride Bike Rack. Part number TH535, on today's 2013 Ford Focus. Here it is on our test course. First it's a slottem 00:02:24 area, which simulates side to side action, by turning the corners, or evasive maneuvers. Next are the alternate speed bumps, which show you the twisting action, like hitting a pothole, road debris, or hitting a curb. Finally we have the solid speed bumps, which show you up and down action to simulate a parking garage, or coming out your driveway.
