Today on our 2015 Dodge Charger we're doing a test fit of the Tulle Roadway Hanging0Style 2 Bike Rack. That part number is TH912XTR. Now, we already have our bike loaded up. The first thing we're going to show you is how we secure that onto our rack, and then we'll go over some features of the rack itself. We have two cradles holding our bike in place with three straps, two on our frame and then one as our anti-sway strap. To release those we'll pull down and lift up. Then we're able to pull our bike off the rack and set it off to the side.
With our bike out of the way I would suggest to replace your straps so you don't lose or damage any of them. Then with those reconnected we can take a few measurements. Our first one's going to be our overall with our arms out in our road-ready position. We're going to be adding about twenty-three and a half inches to the back of our car. Now, if we wanted to park in close quarters parking spots, like parking garages, we could lift up on our gray lever here, and those arms will fold down. Now we're only adding about ten inches to our vehicle.
Our ground clearance is going to be about five and a half inches. Our closest point down at the bottom is going to be about two and a quarter inches away. One great thing about this bike rack is that we can use this gray lever down at the bottom and tilt that bike rack away from our vehicle. We're going to have full access to that back trunk area to get anything in or out that we may need. With it tilted away we can even get out larger items and pull them over the top if we need to. We can close that up, and then to put our bike rack back into place we simply lift up until that gray lever snaps.
It's secured back in place. Now down at our hitch we have a two inch hitch on our Charger today, although our bike rack does work with inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, so we've got that two inch sleeve on there. Around on this other side you can see our anti-rattle bolt. That's going to keep a lot of the shake and play out of the rack as you're heading down the road, so you're going to have a very smooth ride. That's going to complete our look at the Tulle Roadway Hanging-Style 2 Bike Rack, part number TH912XTR, on our 2015 Dodge Charger. Here on our test course we'll start by going through the slalom. This is going to show us the side to side action which simulates turning corners or evasive maneuvers. Once we get to the alternating speed bumps, we'll see the twisting action.
This will simulate hitting a curb or pothole, or driving over uneven pavement. Once we get to the full speed bumps we'll see the up and down action. This will be just like driving in and out of a parking lot, garage, or driveway.
