Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement Stay Put cradle for the Thule Parkway and Roadway bike racks. Part number 853-7887. This replacement cradle can work with a wide variety of Thule bike racks, ranging from the Parkway, to the Roadway, to the Hitching Post Pro for your hitch bike racks, as well as the Thule Passage for your trunk or hatch mount racks. It has these grooves here, which can actually fit your bike's cables so they don't get smashed up against the frame once you have these installed. Now, it should be noted that once you get this, this is the only piece you will be getting as far as replacement parts are concerned. It does come with fittings that will accept the Thule anti-sway cradle, as well as the straps, which are also sold separately if you need replacements of those as well. These are very easy to install. They come in a quantity of one.
And the diameter of tube itself is one inch. Now that we've gone over some of the finer points of the replacement cradle, let's show you how it installs. It's very easy to remove the old one and put on the new one. There's a Phillip's head screw underneath our end cap here, we'll take that off. Before we remove our cradle here, we'll take the strap off, because you'll use that with the replacement.
All right. And with our actual cradle, we'll move it to each side, like so and it will come right off. Take our new cradle, and start sliding it on, essentially the same way we did taking it off, back and forth. All right. Now we can put our end cap back on, tighten up that screw. Put our strap back on.
Now we're ready to put our bike back in place. Pretty much good as new. There you have it for the replacement Stay Put cradle for the Thule Parkway and Roadway bike racks, part number 853-7887.

Hello, I have a bell hitch bike carrier. Will these stayput cradles work with it?
