Review of the Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier on a 2015 Toyota Sienna
Today in our 2015 Toyota Sienna we're doing a test fit of the Stromberg Carlson cargo carrier. The part number is that CC-100. Now it's 23 by 60. You see we have in our rear in our vehicle. It can hold up to 500 pounds. It's made of a nice sturdy steel.
See there it has the mesh bottom so it doesn't keep any debris or the dirt in. We're going to go ahead and take a couple of measurements just to show you the length we've added to our vehicle. I come all the way out here. I'm looking at 25 inches. Then our closest point, I'm showing right there, and that's 2 and a half inches. Therefore our ground clearance, I'm looking at approximately 10 inches right here. You see you can get in and out back of your vehicle when it's unloaded, but when it's loaded I wanted to show you the brake point.
I'm looking at approximately about 14 and a half inches so just remember that when you're loading up your cargo carrier. You don't want to go over that so you can still get in and out of your vehicle. Now with this vehicle it has a passenger's side exhaust and it is pointed down, and I'm looking right at 8 inches. Just remember if you have any hicks and material you may want to place it somewhere else in your cargo carrier itself. This is for 2 inch hitches only. It does not come with a pin and clip. You can find that on our website.
That part number is PC3. That's going to be it for our look at our Stromberg Carlson cargo carrier. Part number again is CC-100 on today's 2015 Toyota Sienna. Let's see how it performs on our test course. Here it is on our test course. First is the slalom area which simulates side to side action like turning the corners or evasive maneuvers.
Next are the alternate speed bumps which show you the twisting action like hitting a pothole, road debris, or hitting a curb. Finally we're at the solid speed bumps which show you up and down action to simulate a parking garage or coming out your driveway.
