Review of the Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier on a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan

Today on our 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan we're doing a test fit of the Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier, part number is CC-100. Now it's 23 by 60 and can hold up to 500 pounds. It is made out of sturdy steel, so it can hold up to 500 pounds, see that it has the mesh open bottom, so it doesn't keep any debris or dirt in it. Let's go ahead and take a few measurements now, first measurement I like to take is our ground clearance, and if you go all the way down here by the end of the screw here, it's 10 inches. Overall, we added 26 inches to our vehicle. Then our closest point is 3 inches.

Now, you can get inside of your vehicle, like so, but it also has a brake point, we like to let you know, and I'm showing the brake point at 14 inches, so just remember, when you're loading up your cargo carrier, you don't go over 14 inches so you can still get in and outside the back of your vehicle. Now, the exhaust on this vehicle is pointing down, and it's approximately 9 inches from our cargo carrier, so just remember if you have any heat sensitive material, you may want to first place them somewhere else than your cargo carrier itself.
