Today on our 2015 Toyota Sienna, we're going to take a look at the Softride Element Parallelogram Tilting 4 Bike Rack. That part number is SR26248. Now have a bike on our rack, and our rack hooked to our vehicle. Just going to show you a few features of it. Excuse me. Now the first feature I like to show you is the tilting with the bike on. This lever here, you want to pull and just bring it out.
When you're bike is like this, like I say, you can work on it, do whatever you need to do. Also, you can get in and out of your hatch, but that's going to almost touch. I'm not going to go ahead and let you see. Right down the handle bars, it's about to touch, so I'm not going to open up any further, because we don't want to damage our vehicle. If you have someone else that has smaller hands that need to get anything out, you can do so.
We're going to bring it back up, grabbing our bike rack, so it comes into clicking position. Now, how our bike is held down. You have 2 straps, no anti-sway strap. You just want to take these 2 straps off to remove our bike. Always replace your straps, so they don't get lost or damaged. Now I'm going to take a few measurements just to show you the overall length we've added to our vehicle.
Looking straight down, looking approximately 28 inches there. In our closest point, I'm looking right here, and that's an inch. Therefore our ground clearance, I'm showing about 9 inches. Now, the arms do come down. To bring those down, we have a pin and clip here, so we pull up. This actually can adjust to any size you need.
If you need a wider stance, you have hold there. If you need just a regular stance, you got a hold here too. This is the hold we want to put in, so bring it all down, there we go. Now I'm going to take one more measurements. Overall, I'm looking at 10 inches now. Once again, we can pull this out, a black lever. If you need to get in your vehicle now, you actually can. If you need to put anything in or take anything out, you have plenty of room on both sides. We're just going to bring this back up. There we go. Now I'm going to move down here. This is equipped for 2 inch hitches only. It does come with an anti-rattle bolt and lock. That's going to keep out some of that moving in your shank as you're riding down the road, so you should have a smooth ride in your vehicle and outside your vehicle. That's going to be it for our look at the Softride Element Parallelogram Tilting 4 Bike Rack, part number again is SR26248, on today's 2015 Toyota Sienna. Let's see how it performs on our test course. Here it is on our test course. First is the slalom area which simulates side to side action, like turning to corners or evasive maneuvers. Next are the alternate speed bumps which show you the twisting action, like hitting a pothole, road debris, or hitting a curb. Finally, we have the solid speed bumps which show you up and down action to simulate a parking garage or coming out your drive way.
