How to Install the Rola Roof Cargo Basket on a 2014 Chevrolet Impala

Today on our 2014 Chevy Impala, we'll be test fitting the Rola roof-mounted cargo basket, part number 59504. With the Yakima two-towers roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo basket up onto the vehicle's cross bars. There are three pieces to each set of hardware. Once we get the basket in place, we'll need to start with the thick black spacers. These will slide between the parallel bars of the basket and rest on top of each cross bar. Once those are in place, we'll then take the flat metal plate to go over top of those spacers. Once all those are in place, we can then take the rubber-coated u-bolts, which will go around the underside of the cross bar, up into the slots of those metal plates. Keep in mind that one wing nut will need to be removed in order for it to go into the slots. With our u-bolts in place, we can then reinstall the other wing nuts and tighten them down.

Once all four sets of hardware are tightened down and secured, that will complete today's test fit of the Rola roof-mounted cargo basket, part number 59504 on our 2014 Chevy Impala. .
