Review of the Rola Roof Cargo Carrier on a 2015 Mazda 5

Today on our 2015 Mazda 5 we're going to be doing a test fit of the ROLA Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket. This cargo basket is going to be part number 59504 measuring 52 inches long, 40 and 1-half inches wide with a depth of 6 inches and sturdy steel construction offering a 130 pound weight capacity. As you can see we already got the two front feet in place as well as the rear passenger side. We're going to show you how to place on that last one on the drivers side. That way you can see how it's done since they all go on the same way. First thing you're going to need to do, once you get your rack on top of your vehicle, is place your spacer between your basket and your cross bar system. This will fit most all of your roof rack systems whether you have elliptical bars, arrow bars, factory roof rack systems, even square round and other types of bars.

Then take your u-shaped bracket with the 2 squares on top and the 2 u-shaped cutouts on either side placing that over the top of the basket and the spacer. Then take your u-shaped bolt. That'll look like so. Thread on one of your thumb screws to where the threads are just visible on the top. They'll have that nice protective rubber coating to go underneath your cross bars. Place it up inside the groove for one of the cutouts.

Then place the other side up through and thread it down to secure it. Once the threads both meet up at the top tighten them down securely. This is going to be great for any kind of cargo control on the inside of your vehicle and to clear up some leg room by placing your bulkier items up top such as your luggage, your tents, chairs, lawn chairs, coolers or other bulky items. Once you have that nice and secure you'll be ready to hit the road with your all new ROLA Rooftop Mounted Basket part number 59504 on our 2015 Mazda 5.
