Review of the Rola Roof Cargo Carrier on a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to be doing test fit of the Rola Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket, part #59504. This cargo basket is going to be 52 inches long, 40 and 1/2 inches wide, have a depth of 6 inches, and with its sturdy steel construction, it's going to have a 130 pound weight capacity. Now do keep in mind when you're putting that 130 pound weight capacity on this that your roof rack system also has a roof rating, and so does the roof of your vehicle, so make sure that you know what you're going to put on and into place. As you can see, the rest of our brackets are already in place. We have the two up front already in place as well as the one here on the back passenger side. We're going to show you how the one on the driver's side goes in place now. We already put our spacer in between our roof rack system and our basket.

Next, you'll take your bracket that looks like so. You have the two squares on top and the two U-shape cutouts on either side. We're going to place that U-shape bracket over the top of your spacer where the squares meet up on either side. Next, take your U-shape bolt with that protective rubber coating, place one wing nut on about halfway, just about halfway where you can see the threads like so. Then, we'll slide it underneath of our roof rack system and out the other side of the cutout.

Then, take your second wing nut for that side and thread it on. Now this roof cargo basket is going to be great for anybody that's trying to get a little bit of cargo control on the inside of their vehicle or maybe for your off-road enthusiast that are trying to put your spare tire up in the back, maybe your off-road jacks, Hi-Lift jacks, Jerry cans, off-road lights, whatever you'd like. You can get it out away from the vehicle, out of the bed of the truck and bouncing around, and secure it down nice and tightly on the roof of your truck and out of the way of everybody or everything. Once we have that nice and tight, you can see it's going to be sturdy, and you're ready to get on the road with your all new Rola Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket, part #59504 on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado crew cab. .
