Review of the RockyMounts Ski and Snowboard Racks on a 2016 Nissan Versa Note

Today, on our 2016 Nissan Versa Note, we're doing a test fit of the RockyMounts LiftOp Biggie Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier. That part number is RKY1482. Now, we've already got the front half our our carrier in place. We're going to show you how we do the second half, since it is the same way. I'm going to start by making sure that my feet are both facing toward the back, and I'm going to slide this over, and line it up with our front carrier. Now, it may be a good idea to get an extra set of hands just to hold that other side, since it doesn't balance very well on its own.

I want to start by removing our cover, pushing it off to the side. Then, we'll take our strap here, and just connect it in place on the other side. We can then take our tool and, in this bolt here, we're going to start to tighten it down. What that's going to do is just tighten our strap down around our crossbar. The great thing about the straps is that they do fit around different style crossbars you may have. All right, since we have that strap down, we're going to replace this cover here.

We'll open up our carrier, and using this bolt on the inside here, we're going to tighten that down. What that's going to do is tighten down that cover on top of where our strap is connected there. We'll move around to the other side, thank you, and we'll do the same thing over here. We'll just take our strap down around our crossbar, connect that in place, and start to tighten it down. Then, again, place on our cover. Open up, we've got another bolt in here, and we'll tighten that down, as well.

Then, with that tightened down, we'll leave this half open and we'll open up our front portion, as well. To open it, we'll simply just lift up here on this tab and it will open. Now, keep in mind you can fit up to six skis or four snowboards in our carrier, or you can do a combination of the two. We'll just set our pair on and slide it over. Then, with our snowboards, we want them facing bottom to bottom just like we have here and those will slide right over.

You're going to hear one solid click on each of your carriers, that's when you know it's completely secure, and then we also have the option to lock those, as well, to prevent theft and tampering. Not only of your gear, but of your carriers, as well. That's going to be our completed look at the RockyMounts LiftOp Biggie Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier, part number RKY1482, on our 2016 Nissan Versa Note.
