Review of the RockyMounts Roof Bike Racks on a 2015 Toyota Tacoma

Today on 2015 Toyota Tacoma we're doing a test fit of the RockyMount brass knuckle roof mounted bike carrier. Part number RKY12O2. Now we have our bike on our carrier. We have the carrier clipped to the vehicle. Just going to show you a few features. First feature I'd like to show you just like I said BrassKnuckle, right here.

This is our wheel hook, it's engaged. We'll come back to that just wanted to let you know. Now back here in at the back we have our wheel cradle. We have a strap over our back wheel so we're going to go ahead and remove that. That's pretty much just holding it down in place.

Then you go to the front and do the same thing up there, all righty. Now holding on to your bike . Just one second I'm about to get a little boost here. All righty, now hold on to your bike, to disengage this you have a blue button here. You want to up and pull out but to engaged it you just bring it up, grab it like it's brass knuckles and bring it down so it's nice and secure.

We're going to go ahead and take this off so we can remove our bike. All righty I'm going to set this off to the side. I'm going to come back and replace or put back our straps first, here and I'm going to come up here and put it up here also. Now the first thing we do since we up here now. Let's talk about the wheel hook itself like I said the BrassKnuckle. I showed you how to engaged and disengage so we're going to bring this all the way over, out the way.

Now how we have it hooked to our vehicle we have our straps here. The are metal straps with rubber coating. It fits in solo grove. I'm going to move the wheel cradle here. Pop this lid and you also see it has a core for a lock so you can find that on our website. Now in here there is an allen screw that you tighten it up. That's going to bring the straps around the cross bars here and that's pretty much fit all your crossbars, we're using our aero bars today. There is a little slot it fits into. You just tighten and loosen it there and that's what goes around your crossbars. Now toward the back that's another universal holder. We have two allen screws here, nice little plate that fits under you crossbars and once again it fit pretty much on all your crossbars. Right here the wheel cradles the strap itself that actually moves so if the bike is bigger or smaller you can move to where you need to go. Same thing in the front also. That's going to complete our look at the RockyMount's BrassKnuckle roof mounted bike carrier. That part number again is RKY1202 on today's 2015 Toyota Tacoma.
