Review of the RockyMounts Roof Bike Racks on a 2014 Ford Fiesta

Today on our 2014 Ford Fiesta we're gonna take a look at the Rocky Mount Brass Knuckle Roof Mounting Bike Rack. That part number is RKY1202. You see we have it already on our vehicle. Let's show you a few features. Like I said, brass knuckles, there we go. This is our brass knuckle, call it our frame hook which is on our front wheel here.

Then we have our straps on our front and back wheels to hold them in place. We're gonna release those first. Got those out the way. To engage .. Well to disengage, got the little blue button here.

Push on that, pull up. But, when you want to engage it, just grab it like a brass knuckle, bring her down. See, it's nice and snug like so. We gonna take this off so we can remove our bike. All righty.

Take this off, I'll set this to the side. All righty, now always want to replace your straps so they won't get damaged or lost. We'll do that first. Then we can talk about some more features on the bike rack itself. This right here, pretty much just a front wheel holder. It actually comes down like so, it clamps down out of the way like that.

I'll go ahead put that down. Now we're gonna take this cover off. You see that it has a hole for a core, so if you want to ever put a lock in, so you have your anti theft, so there's no problem there. What I'm gonna show you inside here, right here we show this little Allen screw. We actually back this down. We have two straps under the bottom which are kind of hard to see, but there's two metal straps that are wrapped around with a rubber coating, so they won't damage our cross bars at all. All we do is just tightening here and loosening here also. It's a little slot that they fit in, just wraps around your cross bars in the front. Let's go ahead and put that top back on so we don't lose it. Now we come back to the back. Once again, we have our . Like I say, pretty much a metal plate sitting on top. We have screws, Allen screws, that go into our bracket here. Pretty much just loosen it and tighten it. It comes around any of the cross bars itself also. Like I said, once again we have a strap in the front and the back. These are movable, so you can fit any type of bike that you have on your bike rack itself. So, that'll be it for our test fit on the Rocky Mount Brass Knuckle Roof Mounted Bike Rack. That part number again is RKY1202 on today's 2014 Ford Fiesta.
