Review of the Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack Crossbars

Today, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack Crossbars, part number RB1375. The Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Crossbars are a great solution for your Rhino-Rack roof-mounted accessories, as well as anything you might need for your job site. The C-channel allows you to mount any Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty channel-mounted accessory into your vehicle's roof. It's also easy to remove and replace, as well as cut, to accommodate different accessories that you may have on your roof. It provides a nice cushion, as well as slip resistance for your accessories. The heavy-duty crossbars are made out of a lightweight, structural-grade material, so they are strong and durable.

The channel along the bottom of our crossbar can be used with the Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Legs. Now, you want to be sure to check your vehicle's owner's manual for the weight capacity of your roof. These also come in a quantity of 2, and have a limited lifetime warranty. Now that we've gone over some features, we'll show you how to get these installed. Now, we're using the heavy-duty crossbars on our 2015 Ford Transit Connect, and we're also using it in conjunction with foot pack number RRRLKHD, and with fit kit number DK417. Now, our crossbar comes with the crossbar, the weather strip, and 2 end caps.

We'll start by putting our foot pack together. We're going to take our bottom piece here and insert the rubber. We'll pop it back on, we'll flip it over, and secure our clamp using this bolt here. Now we'll flip our crossbar over, and slide our foot pack onto the crossbar. Now we can measure out the distance between our 2 foot packs.

With those in place, we can use our Rhino-Rack tool and tighten the bolt down. Now we can take our crossbar and we'll load it up onto our vehicle. Next, we'll do our measurement for the crossbar spread from the center of the front foot pack to the center of the back. Now, once we have our crossbar set in place according to the measurement in our instructions, we'll start to tighten these down. Now, this Rhino-Rack tool is included with our foot pack. We'll use that to just tighten down our clamp.

Now, we'll start to tighten these down, just getting our clamps snug against the door frame. Now we'll go back and forth from each side, tightening it down until our torque tool's completely straight here on this side. We want to make sure we do this evenly so that we don't have the crossbar pulling to one side or the other. Now, we've got both sides tightened down, we can place on our end caps for both our crossbars and our foot pack. We also have the option to lock our foot pack covers to provide more security against theft and tampering. Now we're ready to load up our gear and hit the road. That's going to be our completed look at the Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack Crossbars, part number RB1375.
