Today on our 2013 Toyota RAV4 we have our Pro Series Q-slot Platform Style 2 and 4 Bike Rack, part number PS63138. Now, this does have the option of pulling our back rack out and making it just a 2 bike rack. To hold this in place, we have 2 straps, our hook and loop straps, and we have our frame hook. Go ahead and take our hook and loop straps off. I'll hold on to the bike while I loosen our nut here, and lift our hook up and out of the way. Now, it's always a good habit to put our straps back before we go anywhere just so we don't lose or damage them. Now, if we do need to get into our hatch, we have the option now of pulling our pin on the front and back, with the back mast down, with the front mast down, and we have plenty of room to open our hatch.
There's also plenty of space that we can get in here and really get into the hatch if we need to get something big. Now, to put them back up, just reverse the process. Raise our mast. Insert our pin. Put our retainer back in place.
Same thing on our back mast. Now I'll take some measurements. Like I said, this is 2 or 4. So with the 4 configuration, we have 44 inches to our length, and with our 2, we have about 26 inches to our length. Our ground clearance is going to be 10 inches right here at our hitch. And our closest point to our bumper is going to be about 9 inches. Now, if you do need to stow this away, we can pull our pins, one on each side, fold our feet up, reinsert our pin, put our retainer in place, and do the same thing for the front.
Now before I fold this last one up, you can see there's nuts here that we can loosen. We can adjust the length of our wheel spacing. All right, now that we have this in place, we can look at our anti-rattle bolt. It comes with the anti-rattle bolt and clip. That way we have a nice tight fit in our hitch. That's our look at the Pro Series Q-slot Platform Style 2 and 4 Bike Rack, part number PS63138 on our 2013 Toyota RAV4. Let's see how it does on the test course. Here it is on our test course.
First is the slalom area which simulates side-to-side action, like turning corners or evasive maneuvers. Next are the alternating speed bumps which show you the twisting action like hitting a pothole, road debris, or hitting a curb. Finally, we are at the solid speed bumps which show the up and down action to simulate a parking garage or coming out of the driveway.
