Today in our 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're doing a test fit on the MaxxTow Cargo Carrier. The part number is MT70422. It is made out of a sturdy aluminum. It has the open floor, so you can keep all your debris out. Let's go ahead and take a few measurements now. The measurement I'd like to take would be the ground clearance.
To our lowest point, I'm looking at 11 inches. Overall, from the bumper out to the end of the cargo carrier we've added 27 inches. Our closest point, I'm looking right at four inches. Now you see that we can get in and outside the back of our vehicle, but we want to show you the breaking point now. I'm looking at about 13 inches, so just remember when you're loading up your cargo carrier that you don't go over 13 inches so you can still get in and outside the back of your vehicle. The exhaust on here is on our passenger side and it is going down.
It's approximately ten inches from our cargo carrier, so just want to remember if you have any heat sensitive material, you want to place it somewhere else on your cargo carrier. This particular cargo carrier does come with a pinning clip. They also have anti-rattle bolts and clips on our website. Just look at etrailer.com. That's going to be on our look at the MaxxTow Cargo Carrier.
The part number again is MT70422 on today's 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan. Let's see how it does on our test course. Here it is on our test course. First is the slalom area, which simulates side to side action like turning the corners or evasive maneuvers. Next are the alternate speed bumps, which show you the twisting action like hitting a pot hole, road debris or hitting a curb. Finally we're at the solid speed bumps, which show you the up and down action to simulate a parking garage or coming out your driveway..
