Today on our 2014 Nissan Mirano, we'll be doing a test fit of the Let's Go Aero hitch cargo carrier. That's part number HCR222. This is the Let's Go carrier with a fixed shank. Its dimensions are 48 by 32 inches. It's roughly 7 inches tall. To begin our test fit, we can go ahead and load the shank into our receiver.
We can go ahead and line up our pinholes. We're going to go with our socket pinhole today. That's going to our 5/8 pinhole. Then we'll take our included anti-rattle bolt and thread that through. The nice thing about this anti-rattle bolt is it's going to help reduce the play and the rattle within our hitch and our carrier. As you can see, with that not tighten down, we've got a lot of play there.
I take my socket wrench and tighten that down. Put my clip in place. Give that another shake and as you can see, most of that play is gone. Let's take a few measurements. Starting with our nearest point on the outside of our carrier to our bumper, about 5 1/2 inches. Overall to our Mirano, we have added about 40 inches.
For our ground clearance, the bottom of our shank, about 12 1/2 inches. Our loaded height would be able 24 inches here. We'll open up the rear hatch and we'll check our break over point. It's pretty close there, roughly about 22 inches before our rear hatch breaks over our carrier. Just remember that when you're stacking any items that height. One last thing I like to point out is that our exhaust exits on our driver and passenger side straight out as you see there.
That's going to be about 13 1/2 inches away from our carrier. Just be aware of that when you're carrying any heat sensitive materials. That's going to complete our test fit of the Let's Go Aero hitch cargo carrier part number HCR222 on our 2014 Nissan Mirano. .
