Review of the Inno Roof Rack on a 2009 Lincoln MKX

Today on our 2009 Lincoln MKX, we'll be doing a test fit of the Inno Aero Crossbar Roof Rack System using part numbers INXB108-2 for the black aluminum 42 inch crossbars. Then part number INXS100 for the feet. We've already got the rear one installed. You can see it's going to be for our raised rails here. Let's go ahead and do the front one together. We've got one side done already. What we want to do is remove the cap off of our feet here.

You'll need to keys to do so. Set that aside and we'll come over to our aluminum cross bar. We're going to turn it upside down. What we want to do with this tab here is we want to make sure it's all the way forward like so. We'll also want to be sure and line up our feet with the indication here on how our crossbar should be.

Once we got it set, we're going to line it up there, and then pull it out until it locks in position. Just like that so it can move freely like this. Okay. Once we've got it locked in we'll also want to make sure that our straps are undone on both sides. We still need to unlock this side and then we can head on up to the roof of the vehicle. Set it right about where we want it.

We're actually going to make ours from center to center, I'd say about 25 inches. That's center on center. Once we've got that set we can bring our strap around and hook it right in here, just like that. You'll also want to be sure that the feet are nice and snug up against the raised side rail there. We'll check our other side, come up a little bit here, and once we've got that set we'll do the same thing, and then we can start by tightening that down.

Go ahead and get this side down a little bit here. Once we've got that side started, we'll come over to that side. You want to be sure and tighten them down evenly that way you can insure a nice snug fit. We'll just tighten up this little lever back here. Once we've got it nice and secure, we can actually fold it flat there, we'll take our end cap . you want to make sure that you have the right one with the right side. Put that in place and lock it up. Then we can finish up the other side. You'll notice that the crossbars don't extend past the feet here. That's one of the nice features of the crossbars. Some people don't like to have that bar over here so this gives a nice finished look, if that's what you're looking for, but it's pretty simple installation. You're ready to load up your favorite Inno accessory and hit the road. That's going to complete our test fit of the Inno Aero Roof Rack System on our 2009 Lincoln MKX.
