Review of the Inno Hitch Bike Racks on a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're doing a test fit of the InnoTire Hoe 3 bike rack platform style, part number INH305-306. We have a bike on our rack, and we have our rack hooked to our vehicle. Just going to show you a few things. The first thing I want to show you with the bike on a rack, it has a tilting feature. We want to grab this handle here, let our rack come to a rest, and now we should be able to open up our tailgate so we can get into our truck bed. Now you see, it doesn't touch.

You should have plenty of room on both sides to put anything in the trunk bed, or take anything out. We're going to go ahead and close this up. Now we're going to bring this back up. Always grab your bike rack, never your bike. It locks in position. How our bike is held up, like I said this is a tire hold bike.

We have our tire hold frames on both side. How we're going to do is we're going to push this button here holding onto our bike. This disengages the back wheel, and then we just pull out the front. Now we can take off our bike. I'm going to set this off to the side.

I'm just going to come back, put all this back into position. Lock that down. Bring that down like so. Now, we're going to take a few measurements. The first measurement will be overall distance and I'm looking at 42 inches. Our ground clearance will come from back here.

I'm looking at 27 and a half inches. Then our closest point to our bike rack itself is going to be 6 inches here. If you need it somewhere for storage, if you're in a parking lot you need more room, you can actually bring it up, it locks into position. Once again, we're going to take a couple of measurements. Now our distance is 14 inches. Ground clearance now I'm looking at 20 inches here, and our closest point we're going to go right here, that's 5 inches. This bike rack we're using a 2 inch hitch today. It also can be equipped for an inch and a quarter. It also does have a anti rattle bolt and lock, so if you wanted to leave your bike rack on your vehicle, you can lock it up no problem. But also, the anti rattle bolt's going to help take out some of that movement in this shank as you're driving down the road. That's going to complete our look at the Inno Tire hold 3 bike rack platform style. That part number again is INH305-306 on today's 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. Here it is on our test course. First it's the slalom area, which simulates side to side action like turning corners or evasive maneuvers. Next are the alternate speed bumps which show you the twisting action like hitting a pothole, road debris, or hitting a curb. Finally, we have the solid bumps which show you up and down action to simulate a parking garage or coming out your driveway.
