Review of the Hollywood Racks Expedition Trunk Bike Racks on a 2015 Chrysler 200

Today in this 2015 Chrysler 200, we're going to be test-fitting the Hollywood Racks Expedition 2 Bike Rack, part number HRF6-2. As you can see, we already have a bike attached to the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now how the bike is attached to the rack, you're going to have three points of contact with your bike's frame. You're going to have two straps up top, and one off to the side here, which is going to act as an anti-sway strap to keep it moving back and forth possibly hitting the bike rack itself or the bike in front of it. Let's go and take the bike off and set it aside.

Now when you take the straps off, it's always good practice to put them back into place because you don't want them flapping around while you're driving. You don't want to lose them while they're driving. While you're driving, not they're driving. Now with everything secure back up, I'm going to go ahead and give you a quick measurement. That's going to be how much distance is added to the vehicle once the bike rack is installed. We'll go ahead and measure from the bumper which is the furthest point out.

We're right at about 19 inches. Now for close quarter situations such as parking, these arms do fold down if you need them to. You simply just pull these levers here, it becomes lose. We'll have to do a little bit of adjustment here, then you can slide them on down. When you get them in the position you want, snap them back into place.

We'll go ahead and take another quick measurement here. Now we're at about 13 inches. Now how this bike is actually attached to the trunk, you're going to have six points of contact there starting off with the two padded hoofs up top here which go at the top of the trunk and as we move down, there are two side hooks and on the side just above the tail light. Then we have the final two down here at the bottom of the trunk. Now to make sure your trunk doesn't actually get scratched up or anything like that while installing this, we're going to have a couple of pads here up at the top as well as two pads here at the base. There you have it for the Hollywood Racks Expedition 2 Bike Rack, part number HRF6-2 on our 2015 Chrysler 200..
