Review of the Draw-Tite Chrome Hitch Ball

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Trailer Ball. So this one is gonna be for your inch and 7/8 couplers. So you wanna make sure you match it up to your trailer. And it's gonna have a capacity of 2000 pounds. When it comes to trailer balls, there isn't really a whole lot to them. It's just making sure it's the right size and making sure that we're not going to limit ourselves with the capacity.

So 2000 pounds, whenever we are figuring out which ball mount to go with, we wanna make sure that the diameter of the hole is gonna be 3/4 of an inch. Anything bigger than that, there's gonna be a lot of play. Anything less than that, it's obviously not gonna fit. The shank is about two and 3/8 inches long. So it's gonna work with the ball mount that'll have a thickness of 3/8 of an inch, all the way up to an inch and 1/4.

So it does have a Chrome finish on it, which will eventually rust over time, just because there's a lot of friction happening here. But that's pretty much any trailer ball that you choose to put on your ball mount. So if you we're to upgrade, I would possibly upgrade to a stainless steel machined ball, or you can get an aluminum one, whatever's best for you, but all the balls will eventually start to see a little bit of wear and tear from all the friction and mother nature, with all the moisture and stuff. But all there is to this ball is just make sure it matches up with your coupler. Make sure that the weight capacity is enough for what you want to haul.

And then of course you wanna pair it up with a ball mount, that's gonna have the same ratings as that. And then you're pretty much good to go. All you gotta do is just put a little wrench right here and then tighten it down to the specs, Gget it nice and tight. And then you're ready to go. And that's pretty much it for our look at the Draw-Tite Trailer Ball..
