Review of the Diamond 1156 Incandescent Light Bulb

Adam: What's going on everybody Adam, here with the etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the standard incandescent bulb. This is going to be a replacement for your bulb sizes 1156, otherwise known as S25. So if you have that type of socket, it's going to take a little single contact bayonet on the end there. So all you really need to do is take the old one out, whether it's just kind of foggy or if it's broken and not working anymore, it's going to fix that issue altogether. So let's just go ahead and get into some features. As far as dimensions, go on the bulb, we're going to have an overall length of about two inches.

We are going to have a bulb diameter of about an inch, and we are going to have this little section here, it's going to have a length of about three quarters of an inch. As far as power goes with the little bulb here, we are going to be drawing about 0.94 amps, and that's going to be about 26.9 Watts. It's going to give out a whopping 404 lumens, which is really, really bright, and that's really good.I know 404 lumens sounds like a lot, which really is for a little tiny light bulb like this, but for the amount of power that this thing takes to make that 404 lumens, there's a lot better, more efficient options on our website. That's why I always go with LED. You'll never see one of these in my RV or even in my home.

I don't use them just because they get really hot, it could cause a fire if something bad happens, but also it just lowers my electric bill, and it takes less load off of my rig. So definitely go and check out the LED options because we can go even past 404 lumens with even less power. So check that out because it is not the most efficient bulb, but if you need it, we got it. Other than that, that's pretty much it for our look at the standard incandescent bulb and I'm Adam with etrailer.
