Review of the Detail K2 20x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier on a 2007 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2007 Dodge Durango, we're going to take a look at the 20 by 60 Detail K2 cargo carrier. That part number is K2HCC602. Now, we already have it on our vehicle. I'm just going to show you a few features of it. The first feature I'd like to show you, that it has the mesh bottom. That's going to pretty much keep out your dirt and your debris.

It also has a black powder coat. That's going to help from rust and corrosion. The K2 can hold up to 500 pounds. Let's go ahead and take a few measurements just to show you overall distance first. Overall distance, I'm looking at 36 inches. Then our closest point will be 15 inches here and for our ground clearance, reaching under here, that's 18 and a half inches. With the 2007 Dodge Durango, the exhaust system is on the passenger's side and it's pointing downward.

Just want to keep that in mind. If you have any heat sensitive materials, you want to place them toward the middle or the driver's side. With the cargo carrier empty, you can see that you can get in and out of your hatch. We 00:01:23 always want to give you the break point when you're loading up your cargo carrier, so when you're loading up your cargo carrier . I'm looking at approximately about 29 inches. Just keep that in mind.

When you're loading up your cargo carrier, if you still want to get in and out of your hatch, you don't go over 29 inches. With this cargo carrier, say you want to just put it up for storage, it has a folding feature. I'm going to pull the pin and clip here. I'm going to bring it up. We're going to replace our pin and clip down this way. Now we're going to take a couple more measurements. Overall distance is first.

Overall, I'm looking at 15 inches. Then for our closest point, now I'm only showing 5 and a half inches. Now, this is equipped for 2-inch hitches only. This does not come with a pin and clip. You're going to find it on our website. That part number is PC3, or you can find any other anti-rattle bolts or pin and clips on our website also. That's going to complete our look at the Detail K2 cargo carrier. That part number again is K2HCC602 on today's 2007 Dodge Durango. Let's see how it does on our test course. Here it is in our test course. First is the inaudible 00:02:55, which simulates side-to-side action like turning the corners or evasive maneuvers. Next are the alternate speed bumps, which show you the twisting action like hitting a pothole, road debris, or hitting a curb. Finally, we're at the solid speed bumps, which show you up and down action to simulate a parking garage or coming out your driveway.
