Today on our 2014 Chrysler Town and Country we're going to be looking at the Curt C18153 24x60 folding cargo carrier. This carrier will hold 500 LBS. We're going to go ahead and take some measurements now as to how it will be on your vehicle. We're going to be at . Ground clearance will be about 16 1/4". Overall length that we've added to the vehicle is going to be 40 1/2.
At the closest point to your vehicle about 14 1/2". We'll go ahead and open the gate so that it will clear. Now, we're going to measure the break over for the door. When you open the door it doesn't hit your product. Your at 20". Now, the Town and country has a single exhaust, exit exhaust, on the passenger side and we'll go ahead and measure that.
Which is about 21". You just want to keep in mind if you have anything that's heat sensitive you probably want to keep it on the other side of the car. This is also a folding rack so we'll go ahead and put it in the upright position. We'll pull the flip, take out the pin, grab it from the back, go ahead and set it up and place your pin and clip. Now we'll go ahead and get some measurements. At the closest point about 3 1/2", overall we've added about 11".
Now, this does not come with a hitch pin. That is available through our website, part PC3. That's going to conclude our test fit of the Curt C18153 folding cargo carrier on our 2014 Chrysler Town and Country. Here it is on our test course. First we'll go through our Slalum. This will show the side to side action during evasive maneuvers or making turns.
Next our alternating speed bumps. This will simulate driving over uneven pavement. Lastly are the solid speed bumps which simulate coming in or out of a parking lot or drive-way.
