Review of the Buyers Products Heavy Duty Wheel Chock

Randy: Hey, guys, Randy here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the Buyers heavy duty wheel chock with connection point for chain or rope. Now, this wheel chock is going to be on the larger size of what we generally see, and it's also quite heavy. Basically, this is made of recycled tires. You take these, lay them in, cut them, and they press them with the two steel plates here on either end. Now, the plates, hardware and everything, it's all black powder coat finish.

Seems to be pretty durable, so rust and corrosion really won't be an issue. We've got a retainer here, so we can easily connect a rope to it or we can connect a chain to it using a quick link to pull it in and out when necessary. Overall, the wheel chock's going to be eight and three quarters of an inch wide, eight inches long, and eight inches tall. Now, while you will see this used on travel trailers, campers, utility trailers, things like that, the large size of this and the weight is going to probably leave it better suited for large semi trailers. When comparing these to other wheel chocks that are similar to it, I like the rubber versions more, kind of the rubber pyramid, rubber triangles that stick up. They're lighter weight than what this is.

Full rubber construction so rust and corrosion are definitely not going to be an issue. I think with this, it's going to last for a long time, but eventually that powder coat at some point's going to chip and allow that stuff to get in there.I like the recycles aspect of it, using tires in here. But all and all, with the weight that it has, I would prefer going with one of the rubber options. Now, with that being said, if you're not concerned with weight or if this is the type of chock that you prefer, it's really well-built, really well-constructed to last a long time. It'll do a great job.

That's going to complete our look at the Buyers heavy duty wheel chock.
