Review of the Brophy Clevis Mount

Hi there hauling experts. Today we're going to be taking a look at Brophy's clevis mount with one-inch hole. This clevis mount is designed to work with a two-inch hitch and it's great for industrial and agricultural applications. Around the farm, it's great for all of your accessories. It works with your smaller accessories, like your seed spreaders, and your small dump trailers, but it's rated up to 6000 pounds, so it's also great for moving around farm equipment and trailers around your property. It's also great for moving around your larger farm equipment, like a sickle mower or brush hog.

I went ahead and ran over to my neighbors with my tractor, and borrowed hers, so we can show it here in the video.I've already showed you some of the equipment that I use it for here around my farm, but recently I had a fellow farmer come over and help me bail the hay in my yard. He brought over his round bailer, and he used a clevis hookup on his truck to haul it on over. Then he was able to hook it up to his tractor and use it to bail the hay. Now, you will need a pin, as one doesn't come included with it, but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com. You want to make sure you get one that has, at least, a one-inch diameter. That way it will fit snugly inside the hole.

When using lighter accessories, like the small seed spreader I had, it's okay to use a smaller pin because you're not hauling hardly any weight at all.You also want to keep in mind that a pin and clip to get it attached to your receiver doesn't come included with the mount, but you can pick one of those up here at etrailer.com, as well. It uses a standard five-eighths inch hitch pin and clip. We already talked about how it has a 6000 pound gross towing capacity, which is great for moving things around. But it also has a 600 pound tongue weight, which is the force going down on top of the receiver. With a weight rating of 600 pounds, it's great for front-heavy equipment.Another thing our customers don't realize is that the one-inch hole, here, will accept a ball mount with a one-inch shank.

You can put a ball in there and then hookup your trailer and haul it. It's a solid steel construction with a black powder coat finish. So it's going to be rust resistant, so you're going to get a long service life out of this product. This is a great tool to have around the farm, and the job site, so you can get things done faster. This way, you can spend more time doing the things you enjoy to do. That completes our look at Brophy's clevis mount for two-inch hitches.

Hope you had fun with us.
