Review of the BoatBuckle Pro Series Kwik-Lok Transom Tie Downs

Today we're going to be taking a look at the BoatBuckle pro series Kwik-Loc transom tie downs, part number IMF17632. The tie down is two inches wide. It's four feet long, so it's going to work with multiple different size boat and trailer combinations. The tie down features a twelve thousand pound brake strength with a four hundred pound safe working load limit. The kit does come with two tie downs. The top hook is a vinyl coated steal.

The vinyl coating is going to help protect the finish on your boat. The bottom hook is a bare steel, but it is zinc plated. That zinc plating is going to protect it from any rust or corrosion. Now here in the middle you're going to get a good look at our actual tie down. It's made out of a seat belt grade material, so it's going to be sturdy and long lasting. We have a hook and loop keeper that secures our excess strap and behind that you'll see our actual buckle which is going to be easily maneuverable to both release and secure the tension on our strap.

That hook and loop keeper has one other secret. It actually features a reflective BoatBuckle logo that's going to be highly visible at night. The buckle itself also has a PVC protection pad behind it. That's going to help prevent it from coming into contact with either your boat or your boat trailer. Now that we've gone over some features, I'm going to go ahead and show you how to get this set up on your boat and your trailer. We're going to want to take the vinyl coated one, and we're going to place that on our boat side.

The other one is going to come down to our trailer, so get that one hooked up. Going to go ahead and undo the buckle and bring it into place, and then pull my strap nice and tight. Now this buckle is where the magic happens. It's going to keep the tension in place on our strap. Then I can take my excess strap, I'm going to fold it up here, tuck it in with my keeper, and my boat is nice and secure.

Now we've got our second tie down strap secured. That's going to complete today's look at the BoatBuckle pro series Kwik-Lok transom tie downs, part number IMF17632.
