Review of the Bestop EZ Fold Folding Tonneau Cover

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Bestop line of EZ Fold Folding Tonneau covers. These come in a variety of different sizes to fit your year, make and model truck. See etrailer.com. The Bestop EZ Fold Folding Tonneau cover installs on your truck bed in less than fifteen minutes. It's going to provide you with the cover you need to keep your gear dry. The cover is made out of leather grain textured vinyl. The arched bows are going to help prevent water from pooling on top of the cover.

It's low-profile, it has an aerodynamic design and it only sits on top of our truck bed rails about three quarters of an inch. When used with a locking tailgate it's going to help deter theft. If you want access to your bed, disengage your clamps on both sides, lower down the collar and rotate it out of the way. Then we can fold it towards the cab, we'll lay down our clamps, fold it again, and then secure our straps. If you decide you don't want the tonneau cover for the day, undo your clamps here at the cab, just as you did in the front, and then simply take it off.

It features a limited lifetime warranty. Let's go ahead and show you how fast and easy it is to get installed without hassle. You can start by going and removing the easy fold tonneau cover from the box and we can set it in place near the bulkhead of our truck. It's not a bad idea to get an extra set of hands. We'll make sure that these straps here are facing towards the cab. Just like that.

Not only do we need to center it with our truck, we'll also need to remove that paper protectant on our padding. You can just take that all off. It's just protecting that seal from getting damage. It's not sticky or anything. Now we'll need to make sure that the thicker portion of the seal here sits directly on top of the bulkhead. We can check that for both sides, and that's going to help us get it center.

Once we've got it all centered up, we can go ahead and begin unfolding it. Before we do that, let's go ahead and take off the rest of that paper. Before we fold it out, let's go ahead and secure it to our truck bed underneath the rail. We'll need to locate the drivers side front clamp. We can just release the lever here and then rotate it down. Once we got it down, we can lower down the saddle. This notch here is what is going to hook underneath our side rail here. We'll bring it in underneath the rail, then we can use our lever to raise it up. As you can see it's still a little bit tight, so lower it back down, bring down the saddle, and we can move it out, then tighten it up. You can turn it counter-clockwise to tighten it, or clockwise to loosen it, whatever you need to do. Since we we're loose, we turned it counter-clockwise. We're going to bring it in, then I'm actually going to pull down on the tonnaeu cover just to get enough underneath and then I'm going to close it up. Just like that. Now we can repeat the same process for the passenger side. Now we can undo our retaining straps behind the cap and then unfold it towards the tail gate. Now as we're unfolding, you'll notice that there's some more paper, just go ahead and peel that off. We've got two clamps here towards the back near our tailgate. Let's go ahead and repeat the same process as we did for the front two clamps. It's really the same thing and that's about it. Perfect. We're all set. We're ready to hit the road. That's going to complete our look at the Bestop line of EZ Fold Folding Tonneau Covers.
