Review of the Bargman LED Trailer Tail Light

Today we'll be looking at the Bargman LED Trailer Taillight, part number 47-06-404. On the right is our old incandescent light and on the left is our new Bargman LED light. It features 48 DOT-approved LED lights and because it's LED, it is more efficient and there are no bulbs to replace. So 6-1/2 inch overlay, it is a flush mount grommet style. It has three functions, the brake, turn signal and a tail lamp. It's a sealed watertight housing, the grommet does not come with it, Bargman makes one available on our website, part number 40-06-020.

They come in a quantity of one, but if you'd like to do both, which we recommend, just go ahead and order two. Now we're going to show you how to replace it. Grim firmly on the old bulb, give it a kind of a wiggle and out it comes. If you have a problem getting the mount you can use a small flat-bladed screwdriver and just pry it gently. Once you have the light out, grasp it with one hand, grab your plug and just kind of shake it out. You want to note that if you're not replacing the grommet, leave that in place and pop the lens out of the grommet.

Now when you have your prongs out, you want to check and make sure that there's no rust or corrosion, if there is, take your brush and just simply clean off all the corrosion. Your new lens or light assembly comes pre-lubed to protect it from the elements. You would simply take that, line up your prongs and snap it into position. Now we can go ahead and try to make sure it works. We'll try the brake light, the turn signal, and the running light. Okay, just go ahead and pop it on in and that's going to complete our look of the Bargman LED Trailer Taillight, part number 47-06-404..
