Review of the Yakima StickUp 2 Hitch Bike Rack on a 2012 GMC Acadia

Today on our 2012 GMC Acadia well be test fitting the Yakima Stickup 2 Bike Carrier, part number Y02420. To begin our test fit well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch tube, align our threaded pin hole throughout our anti-rattle bolt, through the threaded pin and tighten with a wrench. Now lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle fit together. Theres about 17 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about three inches. Weve added about 11 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.

To access the cargo area, pull the red knob located at the base of the carrier and tilt the carrier towards you. This will allow you to have access to your cargo door. To load the bike, first put the frame hooks to the top of the mast and pull the red pin located at the base of the mast to unfold and undo the cradle strap. Set the bike onto the wheel cradles and tightly secure the frame hook against the frame and then secure with the wheel strap. That concludes todays test fit for the Yakima Stickup 2 Bike Carrier, part number Y02420 on our 2012 GMC Acadia.
