How to Install the WeatherTech Front and Rear Mud Flap on a 2016 Ram 1500

Today on our 2016 RAM 1500 we'll be installing the WeatherTech mud flaps for the front and rear, part number WT110024-120024. These premium mud flaps are digitally designed to perfectly fit your RAM 1500. It comes with a set for the rear and a set for the front. As you can see they fit perfectly with the contour of your RAM. They're made out of a high quality thermal plastic resin so they'll protect your RAM, your trailer, and other motorists from rocks, debris, and dirt. They're an easy installation. We'll go ahead and show you that now.

Here in the rear first thing we need to do is remove the rock trim panel here. Now you will have to provide your own tools. We'll start by taking the two bolts out here. Then for the bottom two it does come with the torques bit that you'll need to get them out. We just need to get them loose enough that way they pop out.

We won't be reinstalling the rock panel. Now, we can grab our mud flap, put it in place. We'll line it up with our factory holes and we will be reusing our factory bolts to get it mounted. I'll just take my wrench and tighten it. Now we can go ahead and tighten them the rest of the way down and we'll be all set. We can go ahead and repeat the same process for the other side. Here in the front we can go ahead and start by removing the rock trim panel here.

We take out the two bolts, then for the last bolt on the very bottom here we can take a Phillips screwdriver and back that out. It just comes on out. So we'll grab our new mud flap, get it lined up, and we will be reusing our factory bolts to get it mounted. Perfect. Now as an optional step for more security, the mud flap does include a third hole here. It does come with the hardware to get it fastened, but you will have to drill a hole through your liner here.

Just going to lightly drill a hole until I get all the way through. There. Now we'll take our bolt, pass that through, and then take the black nut and put that on the other side and tighten it down the rest the way. Perfect. That's going to complete our installation of the WeatherTech mud flaps for front and rear on our 2016 RAM 1500 Crew Cab.
