All right. Today on this 2011 Dodge Ram 1500, we're going to install Part Number 13333 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like once installed in the truck. Next, we'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you in selecting some accessories such as the ball mount, bicycle rack or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper is about 2 inches. On top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 21 inches.
Now, we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. Our first step is to go ahead and move the existing trailer ball cap on the center of the bumper. Our next step is go ahead and fish wire the factory bolts that were on the bumper beam, through into the bumper support and to the center of the bump support down at the bottom. We'll secure the hitch to the bumper using a 3-1/4 inch flat head socket cap screw. Next, we'll go ahead and raise the hitch in position, we'll run the fish wires to the bolt holes so we can pull the bolts back through, then will go back underneath the bumper and attach those two bolts to the bottom with a half-inch flex nut.
Torque the ball and our hardware installed, we can go ahead and tighten them down and torque the bolts down as specified in the instructions. All right. With that, that'll finish it for install Part Number 13333 from Curt on a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500.
