Today were working on a 2010 Chevy Aveo. Were gonna install a Kurt Hitch part number 11331.Here are a couple of measurements that will assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the pin hole to the outermost part of the bumper is 5 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 13 inches. Now lets go ahead with the installation.First we need to gain access to the trunk of the vehicle. With access to the trunk, were gonna need to remove the rear threshold. Weve got two plastic fasteners, well do this first.
Then we can get underneath the threshold, gently pry it up, set it over to release the fasteners in the sheet level. Well remove the threshold, set it out of the way for reinstall later. There are two plugs that we need to remove next we got one here and here. Our hitch is gonna have a total of three fastener points. For the two fastening points, were gonna remove the plugs and the tow hook here.
Next, Im gonna go ahead and put my hardware in place for the tow hook. Now we can raise our hook into position and install the fastener in the tow hook to hold it in place. Im just gonna install this finger tight until I get all my fasteners in position. Now Ill go ahead and get back into the trunk and install our bolt and block. With our carriage bolts and blocks installed, I can now go ahead and get back under the vehicle and install the French nuts. There is the install of our French nuts for our carriage bolt and block on our passenger side.
Ill repeat the same process for the one on the driver side. With all of our hardware installed, now we can go ahead and tighten them down. With all of our fasteners tightened down, we can go ahead and torque to specifications as indicated in the instructions. With our interior reassembled, that completes the installation of our Kurt Hitch part number 11331 on the 2010 Chevy Aveo.

Once I buy this hitch and install, what else do I need to buy and install to carry my electric wheelchair and carrier?
