Today on our 2007 Toyota Sienna we'll be installing the Draw-Tite hitch part number 36513. First let's go ahead and show you what our hitch looks like once it's installed. Next I'll give you a couple of measurements. This will assist you selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is three and a half inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 11 inches. We'll now go ahead with the installation. We'll first go ahead and point out the attachment points. We're going to have a total of six attachment points, three in each side.
From side to side, the attachment points are identical so each process we do here on one side will get repeated identically on the opposite side. Our attachment points are weld nuts built into the frame by the manufacturer. Over time these weld nuts are going to build up rust, dust, dirt, and debris, and can make it extremely difficult to get the new hardware installed. We're going to spray each one of the weld nuts with a spray lubricant and then clean them out with our half inch nylon tube brush, part number 814092. Note, in extreme cases where a tube brush isn't enough to clean out the weld nut, it may be necessary to get a red chase or tap to thoroughly clean out the threads. With that one done, we'll go ahead and repeat the same process for the other five attachment points. The hardware to secure our hitch would be a new 12 millimeter bolt, half inch split lock washer, and a half inch flat washer. Go through the hitch into the weld nut. We're now ready to install the hitch.
It's a good idea to an extra set of hands to help you hold the hitch while you install faster. We'll take the passenger side, feed up over the frame, and then install our hardware into the weld nuts. Keep in mind that each process we do on the driver side will get repeated identically on the passenger side. We'll all our fasteners finger tight until we have them all in place. Now with them all in place, we can go ahead and tighten them down. Then we'll torque to specification as indicated in instructions. Now with our hitch tightened down and torqued to specifications, we're ready to hit the road. That does it for the install of our Draw-Tite hitch part number 36513 on our 2007 Toyota Sienna. .
