How to Install the Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Cable Snow Tire Chains on a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Malibu we're gonna be test-fitting the Titan chain diagonal alloy snow tire cable chains, part number TC339DC. When trying to choose tire chains for your Chevrolet Malibu, one thing to consider is the area you live in. If you're living in an area that has mostly light snows, this is gonna be perfect for you because the diagonal shape and the rollers provide a smooth ride and also assist with effective starts and stops in light snows as well. If you're looking for something more with a heavy snow or heavy snow and ice, you may wanna look at the Titan chains D-link designs or their V-bar link designs as well. Another thing that sets this apart from most of the other tire chains that we have is it actually comes with the rubber tensioners to attach this to your vehicle, while others you would have to purchase separately. These chains are designed to work with wheel wells with limited clearance, so these are SAE-class S chains, and they are compatible with all Department of Transportation regulations in all states.

Also, it does come with a convenient carrying bag so when you're finished using the chains you can place them in there and they're ready to go for next time.Today we're working with tire size 225-55-R17. Now if these chains aren't fitting your particular tire, just double-check the size and go to our website and find the proper fit. We went ahead and laid out the chain in front of the tire to get ready to install it, and while this can be a little trying on the hands, be sure to wear a pear of gloves while you do this. We do have them set on the ground with the tire side on the back facing out because we're gonna be sliding this behind the tire to start our install. So we'll take our chain and we'll slide it behind the tire, making sure it doesn't get hung up, and making sure it wraps around with our two open ends out at the front here.

Then we'll take our two ends, bring them up behind, and we'll hook those up and we'll hook up the ones up at the front at the top. And then we'll come to the bottom and do the same. Now with this installed you can see how it's still kinda loose around the tire, which is why it comes with its own rubber tensioner. So we'll attach those around our tire. Now with the chains installed, what I would suggest is you drive a short distance, make sure everything is working properly, and then you're gonna be good to go.And there you have it for the Titan chain diagonal alloy snow tire chains on our 2018 Chevrolet Malibu..
