How to Install the Titan Alloy Snow Tire Chains on a 2015 Jeep Cherokee

Speaker 1: Today on this 2015 Jeep Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the Titan Chain Alloy snow tire chains with a diamond pattern. Part number TC2317 and this is with tire size 2456517. Here's what our chains look like installed. These SAE class S rated chains are great for vehicles that have low wheel well clearances or low profile tires. The unique diamond pattern of our chains give us superior traction in snow and ice. Also, the small, square links that we have here help dig into the ice even better, but yet give us a smooth ride because they don't stick out very far over the tire, so it's not like we're driving over bumps each time the tire goes around, contacting different areas on the chain. Most tire chains out there require the use of a separate tensioning device.

This one has it built in, so it makes it even easier to keep track of all your tire chain equipment and you don't have to worry about losing it. These chains are rated for a maximum speed of 30 miles an hour. One thing that I really like about these chains that a lot of our customers have also said, is that they find them really easy to install compared to other chains on the market, especially once you're already stuck in the snow, these install relatively quickly. You don't have to worry about moving the car back and forward in order to get the chains on. The car can be completely stationary and you can install them very easily.

Another nice featured is that these chains come in a case to hole both sets. Now that we've gone over some features, let's show you how easy they are to get installed. We're going to be installing our chains on the front tires of our Cherokee because it is primarily front wheel drive. The first thing that you're going to want to do is lay your chains out and ensure that there's no tangles and everything's laid out with no kinks in it. You're going to want to have it where this opening faces out towards the outside edge of the tire and we're going to make sure that our hooks here, the flat portion faces the tire and not the pointed end. Now we can slide our chains behind our tire.

We'll wrap the opening at the bottom around the bottom of our tire. We'll grab the non-open end that goes on the back of the tire, pull it up and we'll connect the two ends together. We'll now pull our chain around our tire. We'll connect the outside together, using the end of our yellow chain to our green link. We'll take our gray chain, we'll go through a red adjuster, and we'll pull it tight. We'll take our chain and we'll go through our two red loops, pull it tight, and we'll take our rubber tensioning device and pull it until they can connect with our yellow chain.

Now that we have our driver's side on, we'll repeat the same process for the passenger side. Once both sets of chains are in place, we'll drive our vehicle forward a little bit and double check our tension, adjusting as necessary. That completes our test fit of the Titan Chain Alloy snow tire chains of a diamond pattern. Part number TC2317 on this 2015 Jeep Cherokee.
