Today on our 2004 Buick Rendezvous, we'll be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4 Bike Carrier, part number TH9029. Now with the 2-inch adapter already installed on our shank, we'll slide the shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install and tighten down the anti-rattle bolt. This will secure the bike rack to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance here at the bike rack measures 11 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle here at the lower hitch switch measures 2-1/2 inches. We'll now go ahead and pull the hitch switch here at the bottom of the mast which will allow us to tilt the mast down.
We can then open our cargo door, and as you can see, we can gain access to the cargo area even with this bike rack secured to the vehicle. We'll now pull the hitch switch at the top of the mast which will allow us to bring out the dual arms. We can then undo the straps to expose the cradles. We'll place the bike into the cradles and bring the straps around, securing our bike to the bike rack. That's it.
Our bike is loaded. We're ready to head on down the road. That completes our test fit of the Thule Vertex 4 Bike Carrier, part number TH9029, on our 2004 Buick Rendezvous.
