Review of the Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack on a 2011 Honda Fit


Today on our 2011 Honda Fit well be test fitting part number TH934XTR the Thule Hitching Post Folding and Tilting 4 Bike Rack with Anti-Sway Cradles for both 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches. Please note that when using on class 1 hitch with this bike rack you are limited to two bikes. Now to begin our test fit weve already removed the adaptor for the 2-inch hitch and well be using this on a class 1 hitch. Well now slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements.

Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 7-1/4 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is 6-3/4 inches. Well now pull the pin at the bottom of the bike rack mast to allow the mast to tilt down. We can then open our cargo door. As you can see, we can gain full access to the cargo area with this bike rack. Well now pull the pin up here at the top of the mast to bring out the dual arms.

Well undo the straps to expose our cradles. Well place the bike into the cradles and bring the straps around securing our bike to the bike rack. There you have it, our bike is loaded and were ready to head on down the road. That completes our test fit of the Thule Hitching Post Folding and Tilting 4 Bike Rack with Anti-Sway Cradles for both 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches part number TH934XTR on our 2011 Honda Fit.
