Today on our 2008 Ford Edge well be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro folding tilting four bike rack with anti-sway cages, part number TH934XTR. With our two inch adapter already removed from the bike rack shank, well slide the shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. Now that the bolt is tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. At this point well give you a few measurements. Here at the back of the bike rack our ground clearance is 11 inches. From the closest point of the bike rack here at the mast to the back of the vehicle measures five and a half inches.
Well now pull the pin here at the bottom of the mast and allow the mat to tilt down. We can then open our cargo door. As you can see we can still gain access to the cargo area, even with the bike rack secured to the vehicle. Well next pull the pin here at the top of the mast and bring out the dual arms. We can then undo the straps and expose our cradles.
With the cradles exposed well place the bike into the cradles and bring the straps around, securing the bike to the bike rack. Thats it, our bike is loaded. Were ready to head on down the road. That completes our test fit of the Thule Hitching Post Pro folding and tilting four bike carrier with anti-sway cradles, part number TH934XTR on our 2008 Ford Edge.
