Today on our 2013 Ford Escape, well be test fitting the Thule Domestique Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number TH513. Now with our Thule Roof Rack System already assembled onto our vehicle, well set the carrier onto the crossbars now we can use the Allen key to tighten them both down. Note that, in order to tighten down the front part of the carrier you must remove the skewer first. It is important that the carrier is perpendicular to the crossbars and parallel to the vehicle to insure that the brackets have the proper fit onto the crossbars. Once the brackets are tightened down and secure to the vehicle, we are ready to load our bike. We will undo the cradle strap at the rear and insert the skewer into the front of our bike rack.
We can then set our bike into the tray. Well tighten down the skewer on the front fork of the bike and then well secure it with the rear wheel strap. That completes todays test fit for the Thule Domestique Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number TH513 on our 2013 Ford Escape. .
