Review of the Thule Big Mouth Roof Bike Rack on a 2014 Kia Cadenza

Today on our 2014 Kia Cadenza, we'll be test fitting the Thule Big Mouth Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number TH599XTR. With the Thule Traverse Roof Rack System on our vehicle, we'll begin by placing our bike rack up on to the vehicle's load bars. Starting at the front, we'll position the front L brackets around the front load bar, and insert the T bolts into the slots of the L bracket. We'll then tighten on the black knobs, which is going to tighten on the bolts and secure the front part of our bike rack to the front load bar. Now, moving to the rear, we'll move one of the black knobs, and position the rear bracket around the underside of the rear bar. We'll then reinstall our black knob and tighten it down, which is going to secure the back part of the bike rack to the rear bar. With everything all tightened down and secure, we're ready to load up our bike. With the front and rear straps undone, we'll go ahead and pull down on the black lever, which is going to open up our frame hook.

We'll place our bike up onto the bike rack, rolling it forward, and bringing the frame hook up and clamping it down on the down tube of the bike, being careful, as it may be difficult to maneuver this around the sprocket. With that done, we'll then secure the front and back tire with the plastic straps. With our bike all loaded up, that'll complete today's test fit for the Thule Big Mouth, part number TH599XTR, on our 2014 Kia Cadenza. .
